Thank goodness after more than a year I am still motivated to be working out...I'm not quite fanatical about it, but pretty close. But the eating, oh, the eating!
It has to stop.
I slipped for a while around the Disney Princess Half Marathon. For that day, and the day after, I justified it because hey, I just ran a half marathon, I can eat whatever I want! Then the rest of the week we were at Disneyworld and hey, I can eat whatever I want!
Then we got home and I got a bit better, but lately I'm finding myself slipping back into my old ways of "sneak eating," "boredom eating," and just plain not doing a good job of watching what I'm eating. My weight is still okay, but I'm just barely hanging on. And if this keeps up I won't stay that way.
It has to stop.
I know all the tricks and answers. I was a Weight Watchers leader for goodness' sake. Drink water, keep it handy. Eat veggies for snacks, write things down. Get rid of junk in the house. I know them all, but when it's all said and done, it comes down to one thing.
Motivation.
And I'm trying to find mine again. Thank goodness the April Challenge is coming up!

Oh man, Bill, I could have written this exact post. My exercise is the only thing keeping me from packing the pounds back on, and yet I still have so much to lose. I can feel my (new) pants getting tighter again, and it's just not cool. Must, MUST find the motivation to get my eating back under control.

A hearty "me too". March has been a beast of a month. April, I am DEDICATED to doing better. Less race training and focus on workouts, and more on moderate exercise and eating to the end of taking off these pesky 5 lbs.

This is my life right now! Finding the motivation is SO HARD and I'm seeing it start to spread into my exercise, too!!
