Lest you're getting discouraged about your workouts (how's the October challenge going Shredheads?), here's where I'm at:
March 2009: 182-ish pounds
October 2009: 146-ish pounds
Kristen Chase: I'm not a gym rat or an exercise guru. I was just a mom with a good 20lbs of baby weight left to lose and no motivation or interest in exercising. More about Kristen.
Bill Gookin: I'm a stay-at-home dad constantly struggling with my weight. I've lost 115 pounds but keep finding it again and having to re-lose it. This time I need to keep it off! More about Bill.

Wow! That's my motivation right there!

Wow- looking good! Thanks for the inspiration.
(I love your bangs, too. It almost makes me want to chop mine in my annual "gee, I'd like to have bangs" spree that I spend the rest of the year growing out…)

Man, I wish I could look that good. That is motivation for me to avoid dessert at my lunch meeting today!

Thanks so much! I was having one of those days. I was starting to get a panic attack while running on the treadmill this mornng. I had to slow down, and ultimately started walking way before I was done with my running. I started feeling all discouraged and panicky because the progress has been slow . . . S . . . L . . . O . . . W.
But seeing your picture is great motivation to continue and work hard. I didn't get this overweight overnight, and I am not going to take it off in an afternoon. Thanks for your constant inspiration on this site.

Yay motivation! I start today! :)

Thanks Kristen! This is great motivation for everyone! Loved Laura's comment about following the "great shredding goddess, Jillian." I agree-- it works, it totally works. Started in April at 178, now at 143 pounds at 5'4". I've CONSISTENTLY done the Shred and alternated with running and have had GREAT results. Stick with it! In Jillian's words, "You're strong, you are capable of doing this."

I'm 5'11" - btw. I know folks have been asking about this.
TALL. :)

OK you talked me into it.
Also where are your stretch marks woman? It's SO not fair if you don't have any.

Shut up!!! You look hot. I saw you in February and there's no way you were 182 then!! I'm so inspired. Congrats on 40 lbs!
Posted by: Marie {Make and Takes} | 10/19/2009 at 03:31 PM
WOW you look fantastic!
Yes, Kristen is Tall. and if the theory that 1" equals 5lbs, then Kristen would look 116lbs now for a 5'4" woman.
It's time to eat a samm'ich now! (Just kidding)

And THAT, my dear, is motivation. Seriously. You look FABULOUS!!

I came over from Twitter - you look absolutely fantastic! Huge congratulations! I've been debating on whether or not to buy this video series. I'm actually kind of scared of it. Adding another item to the list of things that kick my ass on a daily basis is intimidating.
