For those of you who need a little break from Ms. Jillian, join me in doing Bob. I mean, in doing Bob's workouts.
Whoops. (That will never get old, btw. I'm like a kid with one bad knock knock joke).
Team Bob will be doing Bob's Weight Loss Yoga, Cardio Max, and possibly his Boot Camp if I can get it off Netflix. Additionally, I personally will be supplementing with the Exercisetv.tv program Sweat, which is a two-week (5 workouts x 2) program meant to really kick your ass. All of those workouts are under 30 minutes (except one, I think).
I just did the Weight Loss Yoga (warm up and level 1 = 25 minutes) and it's definitely waaaaaaaaaay different than the Shred. I didn't sweat nearly as much, but I think my arms and legs will be like Jelly later. I'm going to supplement with the shorter ExerciseTV workouts on the days I do the yoga. But, it's a nice change, and my husband is happy that I'm not shredding up our new basement carpet.
The reason why the 30 Day Shred was so successful for me was because it was only 20 minutes. However, I'm looking to push myself, and really, treat myself to more than just 20 minutes of "me time." Yeah, I know. Working out isn't necessarily a "treat," but I just think about looking ripped in a bathing suit and it really motivates me.
The Biggest Loser Style Team idea is all in fun, of course, so if you don't want to "officially" play along, just continue to send along your posts via email, visit the blog, and comment when you feel inspired.
If you do want to seriously play along, pick a team and enter your information using our form (coming soon). We won't sell your measurements to the highest bidder; this will just be a way to keep track and then figure out who kicked ass better. Plus, Bill and I hope that in sharing about our experiences, you can get a sense of what might work better for you in terms of the DVDs and the exercise programs.
And there may just be prizes.
As far as my diet plan goes, I'm still exclusively breastfeeding, so I'm planning on continuing with what I've been doing:
a) Only water - one "tasty" beverage a week.
b) No eating after 8pm.
c) Just eating smart. No loading up on sugar, but no eating just lettuce and peas all day long either.
Starting weight: 168.5
And here I am on April 1.
Ha! Okay, APRIL FOOLS! (I still don't know how that picture ended up on Twitter. I never officially went in and changed it)
So here I am for real:
I'm ready to kick some Jillian Ass! Go Team Bob!
Stay tuned for 30 Day Shred, Level 3 Graduation Prizes coming this week, along with some t-shirt ideas.
