After thinking a little more about April's workout, I've decided to up the ante a bit, so I've challenged Bill from Daddy is Tired and Moob Removal to a Head to Head Battle of the Sexes Biggest Loser Style Weight Loss Challenge.
Okay, that is a ridiculously long title, but oh well.
Bill's a little behind me on the 30 Day Shred, but he's been adding in Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD, along with a few other programs on Exercise TV. And he's been pretty diligent about doing Weight Watchers.
And since I'm still exclusively breastfeeding, and men seem to lose weight faster than women (all those damn muscles), I think it's fairly even.
Anyway, he'll be heading up Team Jillian - which only means that he'll be doing the 30 Day Shred along with the other Jillian work outs. And he'll be sharing his experiences here.
I just figured "teams" sounded competitive. And I like that.
I will be heading up Team Bob. So for those of you who are looking for a bit of a change (and those of you who like gay men with mullets -- I think he's since gotten rid of that though, right?), I'm going to try Bob's Weight Loss Yoga, along with his Cardio Max (and possibly his Boot Camp -- if it comes to Netflix). I'll probably mix in some other things as well.
It'll be on us to watch our diet and decide how much and how often we're going to work out. I'm going to continue on the daily journey for April and then reevaluate when May rolls around.
So, if you'd like to join a team, feel free to comment or email with your choice. We'll be posting our starting stats (including measurements and pictures) on Wednesday, April 1 (no joke - heh). We don't have prizes yet (and I'm still working on Shredheads t-shirts), but bragging rights don't sound so bad either.

We're going to be a "blended" team.
I just talked to Tucker and we've decided to do the Shred video one day and then Bob's Yoga video the next.
I'm starting April 6th since Tucker goes to drill this weekend but will be sympathy sweating for you all.

I'm in for Team Bob, assuming I can find the videos and get them here by April 1. Otherwise I'll have to start with his workouts on the Biggest Loser DVD.

I'm going to try this. Both my husband and I need to kickstart our exercise plan. I've ordered the DVD and it should arrive on April 1. Maybe he and I can go head to head on the weight loss challenge! :)

Team Jillian! I'm doing Day 7 of the Shred as soon as the babies fall asleep for their nap, so I'll be still be doing it most of April. I'll just start over when I'm done.

I'm still keeping my blended schedule. Just tried Level 2 today, and felt like I was having a heart attack. I had to stop at least once through each circuit.
So I'll continue to do the Shred 2-3 times a week for Team Jillian, mix in some Biggest Loser workouts with Team Bob (they're on Time Warner in-demand here), and of course keep up with my virtual trainer in My Fitness Coach. (Team Maya?)

Just finished L1 D7 of the Shred, so I'm definitely TEAM JILLIAN for most of April -- perhaps will get in some yoga Bob-style to switch it up at the end of April after I've officially finished the Shred.

Team Bob for me! I just got the yoga DVD from the library and will combine that with other Bob workouts from Exercise TV on demand.

Did other stuff last week but planning to go back to shred this week. with one week of vacation in Florida in April, I'd better stick to my mix of treadmill and Jillian.

I think I'll be doing Team Bob. I have 9 days left of the 30DS. After that I think my ankles, knees, & wrists are going to need a break from Jillian. I have both Weight Loss Yoga & Cardio Max arriving in the mail tomorrow. I'll probably do a combo of those along with My Fitness Coach when I'm done with my 30 days.

well since i am over Jillian i mean i think the woman hates me enough to kill me and she almost has, i am going to try to hookup with Bob. I like the touch-feely-spiritual kind of guys and when you add in that soft southern drawl of his well, i think i can ignore the sweat and the pain. sign me on with team Bob.

OK, I think I'm going to stick with the chick. :-) I have been super happy with the results from Jillian's Boost Metabolism (it's totally melting my spare tire!) plus I might vary with some yoga/dance.
