I'm a bit delirious.
All I remember is staring at the carpet a lot, stopping way more often than I did in Level 1, and groaning every time she said "PLANK" again.
And she says it A LOT in this one.
In a nutshell, JHLDFKDLUTKDUTFKLDJFDKFJDKFH!!!!!!!
I was definitely breathing hard THE WHOLE TIME. And I was following Anita for most of it.
That bitch.
I'm sure my body is adjusting to the change, but at the same time, Level 2 is definitely more challenging. To me, there are absolutely no breaks, whereas in Level 1, I felt like I could catch a breather at certain points in time.
I had better have abs of steel after this, that's all I can say.
And just in case you were wondering if I'm just making this up, my daughter told me this during the last cardio set:
"Mommy, I think you should do them like that red girl [Anita]"
Apparently, I wasn't doing so hot with the jumping part.
Followed by:
"Mommy, I want to be that Olivia girl."
Me: "You mean Anita?"
"YES. Aneeeeeeeeta."
Me: Yeah, me too kid.

Hey, watch what you say about my girlfriend Anita! *laugh*
I was going to bump up to L2 today, not because L1 is easy but because it's getting a little boring. But hearing that the word "plank" is in there makes me think maybe I don't want to. Of course, that means I probably should, but maybe I'll just go eat some ice cream instead. :)

Ok, so I just came by from Twitter. I am totally going to go home and check my On Demand for the "dvd." I too have twenty pounds (24 actually) to loose. My baby is almost nine months old - time to loose that weight!

Tell me there are no push-ups or *shudders* jumping-jacks.

Got to love comments from the peanut gallery. HATE, HATE, HATE planks!

Having gotten doctor's clearance last night, I just finished day one of level one. I applaud your sticking to it and you've inspired me to keep going. I also took before pics and um, yeah. I think those will not be going on the internetz. Yeesh.
p.s. I used to do planks with my trainer. They are awesome for results but the longest I ever went was 90 seconds. Brutal.

I warned y'all. still it is a good workout. i am loving the results so far.

my latest post.
level 2- jillian's left tit is about to fly out of her top at any moment. the "hard level" girl cheats ALL THE FUCKIN TIME. watch her.
and i really think the modified plank jacks and the other plank ones are harder on your ass. when you jump the whole time your ass doesn't burn. when you do the modified, it BUUUURNS your butt. at least it does for me. that's why my ass is sore on this level!

Ok , I'm a late starter and only two days into level 1. Hello pain.
I did do her workouts last summer so they're not completely unfamiliar but for some reason I don't remember all the pain the day after the workout in my upper arms:(
I'm sure it will get better but really I like to whine

Planks can kiss my white, lumpy ass.

OK so I missed shredding today. No child care plus 4yo has been in major cling mode since the funeral last weekend so I was basically lucky that I got to pee by myself today (seriously, sometimes she will hop up on my lap while I'm on the toilet).
Anyhow, definitely use your mute + mix once you get the general moves down. I would have yelled at Jillian every time she told me I should be gargling my heart during oblique twists, except that I was, well, gargling my heart.

Well. . .. . .I'm due to start Level 2 in about 1 hour today. Your post is scaring me a bit, but I will soldier on. Hopefully the planks won't kick my flat ass.

Your baby is adorable!! I am doing the Shred this month too, along with Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point. I'm on level 1 and it is such a challenge - congrats on making it to level 2!

WOW!! Im glad I came across this! Today was my 1st day of Level 2 I did a preview yesterday to see what I had to look fwd.. And I'm with yall PLANK JACKS or anything with PLANK or a killer. I will say that after doing 10 days on Level 1 I took alot more breaks there than I did today. Maybe Im getting use to it but I dunno......

I just started shredding on June 20th (about 5 days/wk) and made it to level 2 today. I had to come over here and see if anyone else died as badly as I did. Phew, at least I'm not alone :-D
I'll update my blog later with a review of the carnage ;-)
