I'd been thinking about making a drastic change for almost a year now, but after reading Roxanna's post about donating her hair to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths, which unlike Locks of Love only requires 8 inches of hair rather than 10 inches, I decided to wait.
Okay, that and I wanted to lose as much of the baby weight as possible (Only 10lbs left people! C'mon Shredheads Ripped in 30 Challenge!).
So, today was the big day, and I'm pretty happy with the results, even though my son greeted me with a "Mom, I don't like your hair like that" and my husband keeps telling me he does a double take every time he sees me walk into a room.
Maybe that's not such a bad thing. Ahem.

My girls and I donated to Pantene's program in early March as well. It was their idea to support a dear friend of ours fighting cancer. I was happy to help, but still sad about my hair.

That's a great cut for you and I'm a bit envious of your hair. I tried something similar once thinking my hair would curl up (without all the weight), but instead it did some weird That's 70 Show type flip. It was not good.

LOVE the new 'do! Really great shape/cut, and for an excellent cause. I'm jealous, I have always wanted to donate my hair (and wanted to have the balls to go that short), but they won't take it because it's highlighted. So until I grow out ALL the color and THEN grow it out again... no dice.

That is remarkably similar to the picture I showed the lady who just cut my hair, but she kind of did a terrible job and I just look like a mushroom. You, on the other hand, look adorably amazing. Brava.
