Heard this weekend at our grand homecoming:
"Mommy. I missed my home sooooooo much. I'm glad my whole family is back together again."

Oh - No doubt. I don't even let my own mother touch my laundry - let alone my FATHER in law.

Jen --
At least YOU were the one hanging your own bras.
Glad to hear it works though. :)

I actually had to give some props to your FIL today - I used his bra hanging/drying technique and it worked wonders. Granted - I hung them from a curtain rod in my bedroom, not a light fixture in the kitchen. But hey - if my padded bras don't distort, I'd hang them from a flagpole in my front yard!

Certainly does fly in the face of your inlaws' view that you're keeping their granddaughter from them, doesn't it?

AAAHAHAHAHAHA!
Every time I think of that, I almost pee myself laughing.
My whooooooooole family.
That Q.
She'll kill ya.

Ah. Yes. I think I can guess at the mixed reaction/response you had to that.
I agree with the rest, and good job to you. Enjoy that handbag. :)

Ha Diatribal.
A little bit of both, I think. With a side of "I still have all my faculties and I didn't cause anyone bodily harm" as well.
:)

I'm with Mrs. Chicken - I dread passing along my "issues" to the wee one so my hats off to you Mom - go buy yourself a handbag and a crate of tequila.
Posted by: motherbumper | October 21, 2007 at 09:58 AM
Is it a celebratory "I'm a good mom" handbag...or is it a "I made it out of here, again" handbag?
Posted by: Diatribal | October 21, 2007 at 09:44 AM
Didn't think of it that way, Mrs. Chicken.
I think I'm going to purchase a celebratory "I'm a good mom" handbag.
WOOOHOOO!

This is evidence that you are doing your job perfectly. Your (justified) feelings haven't influenced her.
*applauds*
