Please Take a Moment Today to Remember
Amidst the beer and barbeques today, there are thousands of service men and women who have not seen their families in a very long time. And there are some families that will never see their loved ones again. Regardless of what you think about this war, just remember that folks are giving their lives and their time away from their kids and spouses for us.
Check out some really great links, a couple of cool ass military wives, and a way you can make a military kid or our soldiers smile.
And if you're not reading these blogs, you should. My new favorites.

Right on---It can't be said enough, and we cannot forget the men and women over there.

As I sit here witing for the return of myown husband overseas, he is deployed in Afghanistan, I have to say thanks. While I know the world goes on, I have to also say, its bloody hard doing this by yourself...the stress of worrying, although I try not to, I have many symptoms of it...so thanks for taking the time...being home alone with a 2 yr old is no doddle for months at a time...I think of thos who have lost their husbands and fathers, it makes me so sad yet I am grateful its not me, the guilt sets in for thinking like that...can't win

Thank you so much for taking the time to recognize our military and their families. I often say a little thanks goes a long way with us.
I was lucky my dh returned safely from both tours. But so many people we know have not been so lucky. Soldiers and their families go through more than most people realize. Thanks for taking a day out to remember them.

Ladies -- It's my pleasure. So glad to hear you get a good chuckle out of my misfortune (heh just kidding).
Erin -- I hope your husband comes home soon. When I think about how hard it is with my husband gone for a week at a time, I need to remember those who are deployed --their families have it WAY harder.

As a wife who's husband is currently in Iraq I have to say thank you for making me laugh on a regular basis and also for recognizing the amazing sacrifices that our service members are making
