I've Been a Very Bad Clubmom Blogger

Have you seen the amazing list of mom blogs hosted here by Clubmom? It's truly astounding. In fact, I could swear they keep adding new ones everyday.

Okay. I know they don't. But the list. It's SO long. And really, full of great stuff.

That I don't read.

There. I said it.

I don't read many of the Clubmom blogs. And I feel awful. Particularly when I have a moment to catch up and I find out all these crazy, amazing, mindblowing, and challenging things are happening. And I'm on the way outside looking in.

So, every week on Monday, I'm going to start reading a new clubmom blog. Now, I can't guarantee that I'll read it forever. But for a good full week, I will read and comment everyday. It's like getting to know someone. And if we fit, awesome. If not, no big deal.

But you realize this challenge isn't just for me, right? I'm challenging you, and other clubmom bloggers out there to check out a new blog - maybe just for a few days, or maybe for a week. Either way, I'm giving it a try.

Now who is with me?

Here's the regular clubmom read for this week: Diary of a Single Mom on the Edge.

If you'd like to participate, then make a blog heading or typelist that says "Try a New Blog On" and check back on Mondays to see who's up for the week.

I'll update you on Mondays regarding my progress. If you do read the clubmom blogs, tell me which ones and why.

I'm a bad bad slacker blogger who vows to reform. Tomorrow. No, I mean today. But I love it when I actually do get time to read other blogs and am enjoying your blog, especially the fact that you brought up the cultural diversity topic because I too noticed the overwhelmingly white faces when I signed up. Though I'm a priviliged heterosexual white girl myself my son Elias is teaching me about the culture of disability. I have a lot to learn. Thanks for starting this discussion.

I read all the ClubMom blogs. :) (Not every day, though, because I just don't have time, unless I stopped cooking dinner and doing laundry and sleeping.)

I try, but life has become so busy I hardly have time to read any blogs at all! It's almost more than I can manage trying to update. So much for driving traffic, huh?

can you say "overwhelmed?"

I confess, I do read most of them, but not all. I'll try harder though when you add one that I don't normally read.

I'll read your blog if you'll read mine. Oo, that sounds dirty.

I know, I've been meaning to get around to some of the other blogs, too, maybe stop by with some virtual chocolate chip cookies and a "Welcome to the neighborhood." But I, too, am bad. I vow to do better.

On occasion I click on a few...the ones I have continued to read are Cheeky Lotus, cause Lena is too dam funny. Two Peas in an Ipod, cause I like to scare myself on what is to come. And Diary of a Playgroup Droupout, cause I've been reading Beth's other site since before Mia was born.
